The film received mixed review. Anushka appeared in a film named Band Baaja Baaraat, starring Ranveer in which she portrayed an American Punjabi girl from middle-class who starts her wedding planning company. The movie got positive reviews. Anushka completed her three-film deal in partnership with Yash Raj Films after Band Baaja Baaraat.
